HTC Droid Incredible
is there much of a difference?
..between droid with 16.7million/24 bit colors vs. the incredibles 65,536/16 bit? Will i see that? as usual,thanks

It all depends on the screen they use on the Incredible. The N1's screen is.. off for some people when you compare it to something like the Droid's text rendering. They might've fixed this.. but like I said, until you put them side by side, there is no way to verify this.
The largest difference will be Text rendering, and (possibly) images with heavy shaders. High end pictures/dense text should look better on the droid. but for every day use I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make.
Motorola, Verizon, and Google made the Droid as a "No compromise" device when it came to build quality and the like.. that's one of the reasons it's holding it's own against devices like the N1 who theoretically beat it spec wise. the incre...

Dang Menno,you're killin me! I was seriously considering giving the droid to my daughter and getting the incredible for myself. i dont really like the size and weight of the droid,coming from an iphone. But im amazed everyday by the droid's vibrant and super sharp screen. thats actually what swayed me from my iphone.(here in florida the ATT signal is fine).But now i dont know what to do. I dont want to get the incredible then be let down by the picture quality.Geez

No. Most people can't tell whether a phone is displaying 65,000 colors or something higher.
Besides, the color mode is often different depending on the situation / app. For example, many phones support high color bit depths for everything except wallpaper... the one place people might care most.
There was recently a row over the standard Android 2.1 gallery app only using 65,000 colors. Most people never noticed; it took an engineer to point it out.
