Incredible doesn't playback wmv files
The manual says it supports 3gp, 3g2, wmv and mp4 video files. Mine won't play wmv. The sound plays normally but the picture freezes on the opening frame. These would be files that I copied to the D/I mounted as a drive. Tried different files from different sources, small size, large size, no dice. Verizon says they've heard about it but no response yet from HTC. Anyone here have any thoughts? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Never tried wmv. I always found Mpeg4 to be better for playback even on my PC.
As a stopgap, you can get Handbrake (free software for PC) and convert your wmv files to mpeg4. I use the Ipod setting for mine (moto droid). Not as max resolution as it can be, but great for casual viewing. Might go higher if I had an incredible since you have TV out

How big are your file sizes? I've found that files under 2 gb work better but on occasion they still freeze. Its really annoying when you go through the whole process and then the video doesnt play.

I find that 700Mb-1.2Gb is ideal for video playback

We're talking small video clip files, stuff that's only a few MB in size. BTW, I dl'd Handbrake and converted to MP4 and that worked but the resolution isn't as sharp as the original...I guess that's the price you pay.
