Nokia 3586i / 3588i

hey there....i recently bought a nokia 3586i phone on ebay thinking it was a metro pcs, but it turns out that the phone is a qwest wireless phone. does anyone know if i would be able to open up a metro account using this phone?? please let me know through email asap or on here. thanks soo much!

Can anyone give a definate explanation why this phone has a SIM slot?

My first guess would be that its only because it uses the case of another GSM phone but it even has the contacts and all. This doesn't make sense.

After that I could make an assumption that its either for future use or simply for further memory expansion. Memory expansion would be nice but I have a feeling this is not the case as it is not documented and that would probably be a feature they would want to document.

I've noticed it on my phone for a while and never cared much.. now I am curious and determined to find out what Nokia's reasoning was in putting a SIM slot on a CDMA phone! ;) hehe

This sux really bad. my problem is that i cannot charge my battery. probably cuz i havent charged it in a week cuz i couldnt find it. when i fount my charger it wouldnt charge. i tried to turn the phone on, and i think that the battery is so dead, that i cannot turn on my phone to charge it. any1 have a solution to this?

Does anyone know the main differences in the 3586 and the 3588? It appears most of the discussion is regarding the 3586. I have the 3588. It it just a difference in carriers?

🙂 I have the 3586i through US Cellular. I love the phone. But there is no WAP browsing or MMS messages. If anyone has any questions, let me know.
