Motorola V810

my brother has just brought his motorola V810 around getting me to try and fix what his daughter has done. She has somehow made it have no service and there is a target looking icon up the top. He has lost the book and I don't know anything about motorolas. The time and date are even wiped.

Does anyone know of a good resource (website or app) for composing "key press" ring tones for the V810? What I would really love is a program that converts .wav or .midi or .mp3 files into the key press combination, but I know that is asking a lot. And as a side note, what I am really wanting this for is to figure out the key press combination to Super Mario Bros title theme, so if anyone knows that, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not possitive, but i'm assuming it's a phone problem. Whenever i plug my phone in, car or house charger, it won't stay connected, if i wiggle it around it says charging then eventually either goes back to normal or says no charge...What can i do to correct this problem?

I BOUGHT THE DATA CABLE FOR THIS PHONE BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE'S A SOFTWARE FOR RINGTONES AND IMAGES DOWNLOADING....

I have a Motorola V810 with US Cellular. The phone has gotten stuck in some FM radio mode and the speaker for the handset will not work until I get it out of this mode. I can only answer calls if I use a headset. I have pulled the battery to reset the software. I have attempted to reset the soft key back to it's original setting but when I go to it, it says that it is still set to the recent calls like it was. I have no idea how it got into this mode and I can not get it out of this mode. Motorola has been of no help and US Cellular has been of no help. Their only suggestion is taking it to a service center and having the phone re-flashed. The tech I spoke to said he had NEVER heard of this issue before and did not know if re-flashing the ph...

My new V810 does not seem to have the speakphone function. The manuel says it does, but it simply does not. Motorola tech support doesn't know why it doesn't -- does anybody know what the deal it?

I cannot seem to figure out how to turn off the recurring alert that sounds after I have missed a call or when a voicemail is left, without turning off the ringer altogether.

I want the phone to ring when a call is coming in but I do not want it to keep chiming to alert me that I have a voicemail or when I have missed a call.

Can anyone give me advice on this? Thank you.

I have access to a v810 programmed for verizon. I also have a data cable for my old t720. Can i some how get the software off the phone so that all the people wit uscc 810s can use gin and such.

OK...I tried downloading a few tones, but it tells me that I need to delete other tones first, due to space. When I try to delete them, it only says "delete all unlocked files?". How do I know which ones are locked or not? I would like to delete some of the "generic" sounds that came on the phone.

OK..somebody tell me if they think this will work....If I record a small portion of a song as a voice message, then e-mail it to my home e-mail, then change it to .mid, then send it back to my v810, could I then save it as a ringtone??? What do you guys think?? Will it work??

Just found out you can make mp3 ringtones from any song you want to use on this phone.

First convert a mp3 to wav and edit which part of the song you would like to use as your ringer. I don't make my clips much more than 15 seconds.

Then convert the edited wav back to mp3 with these specifications:32 kbps (constant bitrate) / 22.05 kHz sampling rate / Mono. The file size should be less than 120 kb's. There are plenty of programs out there that will work, I just used Winamp.

Now just rename the ".mp3" extension to ".mid". Now the catch. You will still have to email the mid file as an attachment to your phone, so you have to have MMS with USCC. Just extract the mid file from you message, and apply it as your ring tone. 😁

Ive owned my phone for just over 2 months now, and dust has begun to build up under the external display screen, and i was just wondering if some on could tell me how to take off the front cover to get rid of the dust, any help is much apreciated.

I realize I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but can anybody tell me how to change the clock on the phone? It seems that topic is a mystery in the manual along with the speaker phone topic. Thanx in advance.

Is there any way to view the time on the V810 internal or external display while connected on a call?

I know that you can view the call timer, but quite often it would be handy to see the actual time, while on a call.

If I am not mistaken, my "old" V60C had that capability.

I thought this phone was supposed to get disscontinued by cellular one. What happened.

Is there a way to change the tone that the 810 makes when you close the cover?

I have looked everywhere and I cannot find any "real tones" for the v810. I'd like to find some with gun sounds, but any will do. Any ideas???

😕 I'm so confused! I read a message that says how to transfer pics from the phone to a computer and i tried it and got a message that said "invalid destination address" I've tried it 4 times with different addresses and it still hasn't worked. I just read an older message and it said that US Cellular discontinued it, but the newer message said they use US Cellular and it works all the time, so what is the deal??!!
