Motorola V810
V810 verizon software
I have access to a v810 programmed for verizon. I also have a data cable for my old t720. Can i some how get the software off the phone so that all the people wit uscc 810s can use gin and such.

I seem to notice now that PHONESCOOP has taken Verizon Wireless off of the list to release their version of the V810. Seems like Verizon can't get anything right nowadays. 😕 🙄

Your right the 810 probaly wont be released on vzw, but i kno there are people who have been using the uscc version on vzw. They cant use gin and mw. So i was wondering if i could help them people out by backing up the vzw 810 software and sending it to them.

You will need the unlock code since it was already activated on USCC. You might find info here or on HowardForums.com.

Personally, I'd go back to eBay and sell it as soon as possible. Otherwise all you have is an expensive paperweight. USCC locks their phones when it is activated. The seller may or may not have known that. So, you should say in your eBay ad that was activated on USCC and locked to that system.
FWIW, Verizon doesn't lock their phones after activation.

The moral for those who want the 810 for VZW.....
- Buy it New In Box from Moto or eBay.
- ebay. If you get it on eBay make sure the seller has NEVER had it activated on USCC. Even if they do a Master Reset of the phone it will still be locked. If it is locked it will not work on VZW.
- Or buy it on eBay or somewhere else from someone who has had it activated on VZW. That way it can be activated on VZW or USCC.
BOTTOM LINE: If the phone has EVER been activated on USCC it is going to be useless on VZW. The only exception is if you find someone who has an unlock code.

Has anyone figured out a way to get this phone VZW? I have the nlock code from the guy I bought the phone from but I have no idea how to enter it to unlock the phone... I just wnat the phone to work that's really it... I have been chasing this guy for weeks on end with no help

Try calling some of these independant cellular stores that sell Verizon and other network phones/plans, they may be ble to unlock your phone for the verizon network. For me, they were able to unlock an AT&T phone to use on Cingular.

No... but... I just purchased one myself. I have a shop in NY and a VZW 810 there. I will be posting my findings on doing this next week. I am quite confident I can at least get BREW/GIN and Mobile Internet going for us.
I was the same guy that found the ALLTEL software for the 710 to get BT going for us on that phone. See HOFO for more info.
