All,
I am anxiously anticipating the release of the V810, I believe its going to be a great phone. However, and\ insider source of mine @ Motorola PCS Sector tells me the V810 is not even scheduled to ship to Verizon until February 3rd. Meaning Verizon wont even distribute these phones to their dealers and corporate stores for at least a week after that. Sorry, but I would NOT hold my breath for a January release date.

Although later than hoped, this could be good news if there is actually something set in stone. What does your friend do?

Well...given Motorola's reputation...NOTHING IS SET IN STONE. If that were true, this phone would have been out for the holidays. I do know the V810 is a priority release for Q1 of 2004. "Q1" gives the company a 3 month cushion, thats why they stated Mar-04 as the release date in the email posted by another member. Do expect to see print ads and commercials for the V810 the weekend of the Oscars (or whatever the awards are that are given out the last week in January).
