V720 vs V810? so confused
I like the key pad on the V810 better than the one on the V710, but I'm not quite sure which one is newer, or better... Im up for an upgrade in September, hoping it's out by then... 😁

It seems to me that Moto should just write off this generation of phone. They just couldn't get it launched in time. It would have been competitive against the 8900 and 6000. However with the 9900, 6100, and 7000 coming soon it looks like the v810 will be left behind. If they price it as the opening price point phone it may find a market. Otherwise I fear they will have another loser on their hands.

Think of it this way. Even if the v810 comes out at the same time as the v710:
$X to develop the v810
$Y to be made from folks who either don't realize that the 710 is better than the 810 or want a less expensive phone
$Z to market the phone enough so that it gets some sales, do support, ...

I would add the size difference as well. The V810 is very small. The V710 is quite the opposite. There's always a market for small/sleek phones, regardless of features.
