i talked to a friend of mine today that works at a VZW store on Long Island, NY and he said both the 710 and 810 are going to be released at around the same time, which he said should be within the next 30 days from what he was told. i know people post everyday about when this phone, and the 710 for that matter also, are going to be released. take this for what you will, but it was given to me from a reliable source. the whole reason this even came up was because i went into the store to talk to him and ask him when the lg 7000 was coming out, since i saw an advertisement for it in Cargo Magazine. he said he hasn't even heard anything about the release date of the 7000 yet, and that is when he mentioned the 710 and 810 to me...

There's a lot of difference between the 2. Just check out the features list on this website.

The V710 has many more features, but it is also much larger. The V810 is one of the smallest CDMA flip phones ever, while the V710 is one of the largest (in recent times).

To be clear, there is a lineage of tiny Verizon phones... All are nearly the precise same size -- within 1-2mm in every dimension.

v8160 from Moto
A530 from Samsung
(also Audiovox 8600 or somesuch #)
v810 from Moto

Those are the line of tiny phones. They appear to be somewhere near the bottom size limit.

My A530 will be replaced with the imperfect v810 for size, calendar sync, and support for Moto's Bluetooth module add-on.
