Motorola V810
2 simple questions
I am new to this forum and if someone can answer me these questions I would apprecoate it very much.
I've been following the v810 for a while already, and have read most of the posts here on it. You all seem to be saying that it is not coming to Verizon and this sadly seems true. However I do see that is has been recently released for U.S. Cellular.
My main question is, on the Motorola website you can purchase the v810
(http://commerce.motorola.com/cgi-bin/ncommer ce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=260910&prmenbr=126 &phone_cgrfnbr=1&zipcode=)
and it says "Phone Only". I am wondering, if I purchase the phone there, could I then use it on Verizon's netowrk? I don't see why not but is there any reason that it wouldn't wor...

Thanks in advance.
Aldcon... you are killing me!
How confident are you? I mean is this like 100%? And is this based on your opinion from what you see on the inside, or do you know something that virually no one else does? I know it's sketchy for you to give too many details, but please give me something to hang on to so I don't kill myself trying to get one from another avenue.
And of course if you are positive, there is the even more important question of: WHEN? 🙂
WHEN WILL CEDAR RAPIDS, IA HAVE THEM

-Camera
The only way to access the camera functions is via a side button. There is no way to use the camera thru the phone's own menu. This is a serious design flaw since the external buttons are more likely to be damaged thru use and if that occurs you will not be able to use the camera at all.
-Internal Display
Having the ability to use photos for the wallpaper is of course a must with a camera phone however this Motorola phone like others has the Time/Date stamp on the screen. A serious problem though is that even through phone settings you cannot not remove the stamp. So all your wallpaper has a large time & ...

v810
I just went to www.hellomoto.com and clicked on moto next and the v810 is not on the list. I think the v265 is the phone that is replacing the v810.
Is Verizon carrying this phone or not?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Guess I have to wait for the v265!!!
I want to organize a buy for Verizon customers...
Also, if you know of any distributors who are likely to carry this phone (i.e. USCC-oriented ones), say so.

Motorola V810 Review
Size & Feel-
This phone is nearly the exact size of the Motorola V60. The company also used some of the features from the V60 such as metallic plating. This adds a very slick feel to the phone that I found to be enjoyable. The buttons are responsive and have a great tactile feel. Also Motorola took advantage of the side button concept and several quick key features are now usable with the side panel buttons, such as the camera, voice memo, voice commands & volume control. Rating A+

Very nice camera on this phone. There is a digital zoom & the usual 3 quality settings. What stands out for this camera is the ...

V810 OR A670 ? "I'm selling my V810!"
azoriankid_2000@yahoo.com
It's definitely coming out through Verizon...(maybe)
"Thank you for contacting Motorola E-Mail Support.
In reference to your inquiry, we are happy to let you know that the Motorola V810 will be available through Verizon within the fourth quarter of 2004."
However, this information was NOT confirmed by my phone call yesterday to Verizon spokesperson Brenda Raney, who was impressively non-commital on whether the V810 would be available through Verizon.
So there you go. It's definitely coming out through Verizon in 4th Quarter. Maybe.
Cheers
