Noob Question

I have never bought a phone from anyone but the service provider so I am not sure how this works but if I got this phone from off one of these websites, could I use it with Verizon?

If you have Verizon you can only use CDMA type phones. This Motorola phone is a GSM (TMobile, AT&T & Cingular). GSM works on a SIM card where Verizon doesn't.
