Can you rewind and fast foward a track?

I'm debating between the two, which is the superior unit?

Some people have posted under cons that it doesn't have an FM tuner, and some have posted under pros that it does. What's the deal?

i can store only 80 msg in my phone? , even though 2 mb of memory is free. can i use that memory for sms.can any one help me?
i hav read on net that there is code to unlock this service, anybody knows?

Hello everyone i am a new user in this website. I have got the following probs hn my motorola:
1.Cannot copy anything to ph.Memory. It says memory full.But it has already about 2mb free space.
2.Cannot instal any java apps or games.Aftef downloading IT SAYS application error..
3.How to format ph memory.

am I able to use itunes music I load on the phone as rigtones? if not, what are my options as far as ringtones... like can I download files that I can use and how? thanks alot!! 😁

Maybe in a flash or seem edit to make it possible to use ringtones on the memory card as rigntones a pictures on the memory card for picture ID's... ? thanks

how big a memory card can the e398 support? my friend has tried using a 512 mb trans flash and it works perfectly. 1GB? 2 GB?

POOR RECEPTION!! I have used a Nokia 6800 for years, and despite being almost completely broken, gets almost full bars even in the center of my underground basement. Just got an E398, and it's great, except it gets almost no reception in my basement (I live down there). Any advice? I have Cingular in NJ. Are there any antennas I can purchase and attach permanently to the phone? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

i need some help in unlocking the code

I am using this phone in the U.S. on T-Mobile and it's been great. However, the one problem is I receive a blank text message whenever I have a voicemail. It's annoying because I don't receive a voicemail notification, just a text from some weird characters.

Does anybody here know anything about this?

I contacted Motorola but they wanted me to do a master reset but I can't do that because I bought the phone unlocked and I want it to stay that way.

I just purchased an unlocked E398. I am wondering about the text messaging. I can send them to people but i can't seem to get their replies.

In addition i get random messages from a "_@" and some symbol that looks like the empire state building followed by an "@". Is my setup configured incorrectly? Can i do something to get that to stop? I have weeded through the menus and nothing makes much sense to me. I noticed a "service centre number" that has a +1206.... it goes on. does that affect things?

I have T-Mobile.

I recently bought an E398 and I would like to connect to the internet but I am currently having problems. I live out in NY and I currently have cingular service. Everytime I launch the browser it tells me GPRS Network is not available. Please help.

Hi there, i've got a huge problem with my ringtones... When i apply a mp3 ringtones as a ringtone, u know when somebody call me the mp3 ringtone doesn't ring... But it's very strange because i can play the ringtone normally but when i'm called an other ringtone's ringing

Can I download MP3 files (via bluetooth or USB from a PC) into this phone's transflash memory and then listen to them with headphones or the phone's speakers? Or does this phone only trasfer downloaded MP3s into its limited internal memory? Can I download MP3s onto the transflash memory outside of the phone somehow and then listen to the MP3s on the phone? Thanks for any info.

With the 850 band. I know for a fact that I can't use a phone on Cingular without an 850 band in my area, so I can't purchase any of the ones on eBay...

i have problems recieving a download link to recieve a realtone i go to click on it and i sayz file type not recognized or internal error in gateway why wont it allow me to recieve the realtone neone noe plz helllllp

i really want this phone. but all the unlocked versions on ebay are only 900/1800/1900. i am with cingular and i need the 850/1800/1900 version. any help would be great.

I was looking in to buying the cheaper Moto E398 but can't seem to find a US version of the phone with GSM 850 instead of 900. Can anyone tell me how good the coverage is on the Cingular network, or GSM at all for that matter without the 850 frequency??? Is it work buying a phone without the 850??? Thanks!
