Kyocera SE47 / SE44 / V5 (Slider)
Verizon Wireless
I saw a few of these phones on Ebay and some sellers claim they are unlocked and will work under Verizon Wireless. Does anyone know if it is true or not, because Verizon has never even heard of this phone and say that the only phones that are commin out within the next 6-8 months are Samsung camera phone at the new LG phone.

true...but it will only work under the virgin mobile slider...not the US cellular or metro pcs...if it is unlocked you must be knowledgeable to manually program it.

it can...there have been people who were able to fix the notifications and text messages etc. it all depends on the programming of the phone itself...

I know that it is properly programmed the voicemail notifications work fine in in-network areas. Don't know about extended areas.
The slider isn't ERI-capable on Verizon, so the roamining indicator may not be as helpful as ERI-capable phones that Verizon sells. I'm sure the Slider that verizon releases will be ERI-capable.
