Nokia 6600

I use Nokia 6600 with a 32mg memory card.. Each time I capture an image it takes longer to save the image... I have in the past year taken over 900 images, I have emptied the card regularly. I have noticed that the image naming protocol has numbered the images consecutively (now I'm at image 943) even if I have removed all the images from the card it recalls were it is in the sequence. I am now waiting 1min 50sec to save an image! The first image saved in 2secs or so, and the saving time has gradually gotten longer and longer. Has anyone noticed this problem and found a solution????

I just bought a bluetooth adapter (Billionton Class-1, 100 m) and installed it in my computer (I have Win98 in my PC).

I can transfer files from PC to my Nokia 6600 but the transfer from 6600 to the PC does not work. I get a message like "connection failed"

Did anyone encounter such a problem before ? what could be the solution ?

Can the Nokia 6600 hold street addresses for contacts? Can the nokia 6600 play mp3. ringtones out the box or do you have to download some programs. Where do you down load the programs. Does the phone have a pc connection cable that comes with it? What are some other good programs to download?

Unfortunately my vibration seems to have stopped working on my 6600. Whilst there used to be a large meaty vibration, it has now been replaced by a pitiful buzz with no vibration whatsoever. is there any way to fix it or am i just going to have to live without it. I haven't dropped it as far as i know. ☹️

Anybody interested in buying a 6600 still in the box. Never used!! GF didn't like the phone so got to get rid of it.

Can i use a SD card instead of MMC card in this phone.

I got 21 n-gage games but some do not work on 6600!

Some games do not have colours (colin mcrae sometimes have colours), some can't start, some just shut down on loading!

What games can also be played on 6600!

I`m thinking about purchasing the Nokia 6600. I was very interested in the multimedia applications but a little apprehensive on the life span of the battery and with the quality of the sound when in use.

Also when reading some reviews on the 6600 there had been some question on the backlighting not staying on long enough and the low-resolution images.

If anyway possible can u help,, Thank you!

Is it possible to download a program to allow this phone to use MP3's as ringtones?

I just got my 6600 and really like it! I had no idea it would be something that could replace my PDA.

I'm looking for someone who has setup an IR or bluetooth keyboard for their 6600. Anyone have any experiences they want to share?

I just bought a 6600 and it's a cool phone - except that I can't send files from the phone to my mac ☹️

The two devices pair just fine with bluetooth, and I'm able to sync up my contacts with no problem. I can also send files from the mac to the phone over bluetooth with the mac's Bluetooth File Exchange program.

But the same program won't allow me to browse the phone, reporting an unknown error (c4). When I try to send the files e.g. photos to the mac from the phone, the phone says "unable to connect", even tho it just synched fine for the contacts.

Hi I got my Nokia 6600 and something weird happens everytime someone calls me: Even if I don't pick up the line I can hear the other side!!! 😲 I want to know if my phone has a problem or if it is a feature that this phone has??? also, eventhough it may seem like a good feature, its really bad if you are in a meeting or someting because even if the phone is on vibration, if the other person talks it comes out very loud!!! Has anyone encountered this problem? do you know how to fix it??? Thanks

I just got a 6600 nokia phone and I have noticed that on the camera record option there is only a 9-15 second limit. Can that be changed or am I stuck with it?

When i enter my message inbox the messages are displayed with the phone number of the person who sent me the message... also when i open the message where it says 'from:' the number is displayed there too...
Is there any way to change this so it displays the senders name in the inbox and in the message 'from'??? and if so, how do i change this? i would appreciate it if someone could help me... cheers!

Is anyone having trouble sending .sis, .jar, .mid ect. If you are i have found a way round this sneaky copyright protection.

Step 1.Install fexlorer.sis if you don't know where to get it from email me at micky201020@hotmail.com and i will send it through messenger.

Step 2.Open fexplorer and go to the file you want to send(e.g. fexplorer.sis) press options > goto File > goto Rename. rename the file as but at the .sis put a _ (underscore) after it(e.g. fexplorer.sis_).

Step 3.Goto OPTIONS then to SEND select the method you wish to send then it sends.

you know how there is thee GO TO menu on the phone which has 3 options by default. Well I could not seem to figure out how to add more options to it. The GO TO option is the one that has a diamond as its icon.

Can someone help me out?

When I got my 6600 I somehow managed to change the shortcut buttons, ie. the programs which you can open using the left and right keys without having to go through the menu, now I would like to change them again and I can't for the life of me figure out how! Please help!
