Manufacturer tells us it's coming - carriers play keep away. Sigh...
The carriers need time to do "research and ad their own apps" or in some cases remove features or limit the phones capabilities.

Looking for some place to buy
I have service through Cell one and they want 726$ for this phone but I dont want to pay that much. Where is the best place to buy safe but cheap?
I looked at ebay and saw things like "battery light blinks for no reason but other than that phone is in great shape" is that normal for this phone

Apples is Afraid. It Is As Simple As That.
For the first time, there is a company (Samsung) and a line of devices (SGII and SGIII) that actually pose a real threat to Apple's market dominance.
And Apple doesn't know how to deal with this new challenge. So they're trying to elliminate it.
Based on the leaked specs, the upcoming iPhone 5 might not be significantly better than the SGIII in many regards. And Apples is worried.
It is as simple as that.

Pride Comes Before the Fall.
Apple may have had a case on the orginal SG series, but the SGIII is completely redesigned and even engineers have stated that Samsung has worked around Apple's designs.
I find Apple has bitten too much of its own Apple. Tim Cook doesnt possess the look or feel of Steve Jobs to carry the torch. Also Sir Jonathan Ives may be the celebrated engineer and developer of the iproducts, but it was Steve Jobs' ideas and implementation that gave John the templates to work with. Tim Cook stood in front of the press in a keynote address after Steve's death. He claimed no one had to worry. Apple still has plenty of ideas to be major competition. I will await to see what this maybe. The most celebrated days of Apple were when Steve Jobs held the ship ...

1 billion Not enough
Looks like Apple is just getting started on Samsung. Samsung is their biggest competition bigger than anyone right now, I too would sue the hell out of them but I would also be watching public opinion.
Why didnt they add the Galaxy 3 from the start? Does not make sense on why just now it was added when its been out awhile. Im thinking this all started from the first galaxy so Apple just waited and waited.

I Just Want To Buy a Phone Without The Drama
I am ready for a new phone and Ive tried to distance myself from the drama but when you allign yourself to a brand by forking over $200+ for a phone and a 24 month commitment and to carry and rely on that device for two years as apart of your life. You kind of as a moral person have to take the bigger picture of who you bought your equipment from and their corporate ethics into consideration.
I was going to wait for the next Apple phone before making my decision but its things like this that make me want to go out now and buy a GSIII today.
I am and have been a loyal Sprint customer since 1998 and I have never waivered with my carrier so with their current equipment line up Android or iOS are my only real choices. I can't wait for Wi...

Ridiculous!
Apple should just try to ban Samsung as a brand from existence at the rate they're going! Some of the lawsuits are justified but they need place there full focus on making their products better. Cook has huge shoes to fill now that Steve Jobs is gone. I'm an iPhone owner and I think this is too much. The SGS3 & the iPhone are different. Give it a rest Apple!

Warning: AT&T says Note is a tablet & must return in 14 days
They claim the Note is not a phone and not subject to the 30-day return rule. $345 early termination fee b/c I returned it on day 16!

Using the Note as a GPS
Hi.
Do any of you have physical expierence using the Note as a stand-alone GPS device.?? I want to explore some of the Mountains, and A.T., and other Remote places (where there's No Cell phone coverage available - by any carrier).
Thanks, I am very interested if the Note can function in this capacity - as a stand-alone GPS device.

Leaving Sprint early for the Note
I am leaving Sprint early in order to get this phone when it's released. My contract end date is March 26, so pretty close. Any tips on avoiding penalties?

Seems PS took the tentative off the info section. Was in Best Buy today for another reason, they still don't have them out, nor will they sell them till tomorrow.

At&t deceptive pricing – unlimited extra $100 for the phone
Preordered mine, but the price on the web site said 399 - 100 instant rebate. My shopping cart ended up not getting the $100 instant rebate. Called AT&T to see if that was a mistake on the web, and of course they said, since you opted to "KEEP UNLIMITED DATA, you are not eligible for $100 rebate."
Needles to say, I talked to the manager, tried to persuade them about my (wife's) low data usage, keeping 10+ years customers happy. Nothing worked. I canceled the order and will move on to Verizon as soon as I figure what phone to get there. The Note (version of) is coming to them as well. At least the VZ has LTE network too.

Successor to my Streak?
I've been following the Note with interest as it is very similar in overall size as my Streak while gaining a little screen size. I'm not sure about the pen, I doubt I'll use it much. The 4x3 screen is a little odd in today's 16x9 market but I don't know if that will have any impact on my usage.
As for the size of 5"+ devices, you get used to it quickly, I can't imagine returning to a smaller device now. I'll grant you that this size is not for the small handed if you are a heavy phone user, though bluetooth solves that easily.
I, and most Streak owners, tend to use it in landscape orientation; a must for a screen this large. With the Thumb Keyboard app it is a joy to type on; often I will write email on it while sitting in front...
