Cell-phone assist for seniors
This is a good idea, at least in principle, but it's a matter of detail & execution as to whether it will be actually useful to seniors.
Hopefully Sprint also incorporated things like:
(1) Large font, vastly simplified interface design (i.e. the number, size & legibility of icons & text on each screen),
(2) Rubbery, grippy cases (the iPhone could never be a serious phone for seniors, because of the ridiculously stupid slick-backed case Jobs insisted on).
(3) A convenient way to carry their phones on a lanyard the seniors can hang around their necks if they wish (phone is less likely to get lost/misplaced, it's closer to their ears so they will actually hear the phone ring/beep, they can get to it quickly so they can answer it bef...

iD pack for Cool Seniors
My grandfather couldn't even begin to know what a smartphone is, let alone use one. Give him a flip phone, however, even a slide-out with a keyboard, and hes good to go. Does sprint really think that seniors want to use any of those Smartphones they named support this ?

480 x 800 resolution is old news
Mr. LG, 480 x 800 is long past due. In you don't know, we're even past the 540 x 960 too. It's HD now-a-days. Please catch up in order to be a bit more competitive.
Thanks for reading.

On/Off = Adjustable?
I really don't see how simply turning something on or off is adjustable, it really isn't.
A fan that has two settings, on, and off, is not adjustable, one with several speed settings is, or, a lamp that has a Tri-light bulb in it would be adjustable, too. A computer screen that can have the brightness / contrast turned up or down is adjustable, on or off would not be.
Does this device Actuially allow you to adjust the LTE radio, or can you simply just turn it on or off ?

LTE
Do we know if Sprint has the phone's LTE radio active, or does it have to get turned on later with a software / hardware update -- similar to what Verizon did with the Xoom?

Expect lower LTE speeds a la MetroPCS
Since they will be using the same 1900MHz for LTE. I think Sprint does a lot of spectrum there anyway though so maybe it won't be that bad.
It could work out for them with ESMR on the horizon. They gotta get rid of iDEN already. Isn't this the year or is it next year?

What about 3G EVDO?
If they're launching LTE on their 1900 band (which is what their CDMA EVDO 2G/3G network works on nationwide)... won't that restrict/hurt 3G users more than the new LTE users? I thought their 3G network was already being hammered by all the unlimited data smartphone users they have?

I'm More Interested in the new Sierra Wireless Hotspot
...as my Overdrive contract is soon to be fulfilled & I'll be ready to upgrade to this. Helps that I'm in one of the first LTE markets too.
