for the A670, you dont have to spend money for ringtones. just a mere 10 cents for sending a pic message. here's how u do it. first create a voice memo that is around 30 secs long. if you listen to your voice memo, it sounds soft but dont worry, it wont turn out that way. next take a picture of anything u like. it doesnt really matter unless u wanna save that too. send a pic message to yourself with the voice memo that you recorded, you should be able to recieve in a normal case. save the picture or the sound and you have yourself a free ringtone. In other cases in which you do not recieve the picture message. the message should be saved in your outbox and from there, you can save your sound.. hope this helps everyone.. free ring tones! woo ...

alright, im not understanding soemthing... i created a vocie memo , attached it to the picture, sent it to myself, but when i try to save it, it saves under "soundclips" not "ringtones" and it has a .qcp file extension...anyone know how to save it under "ringtones " and it sounds juke like how i recorded it..so maybe im not doing this right.... 😳
...
wow... didnt see this response.. i never had a problem were it doesnt save correctly.. when u saved it, check under "my melodys" when setting a ringtone. it should be there. ur probably checking it under the wrong place thats why its coming out like how you recorded it in ur voice memo
...
i hv same problem..
record a voice memo.. send a pic msg with it to myself..
then click save details..
and save the voice record.. it automatically saves as a sound clip"
and when i try to set the ringtone
it only has melodies, ring tones, and downlaoded...
i can listen to the record under sound clip forder only.. can't set it as a ringtone..
i tried everything i could.
any1 plz tell me how to do this step by step?
or is it TELUS that changed something in this phone so that we can't do this? -.- stupid canada..?
...
aite.. try this..
after you recorded and so forth..
You send it to yourself or to anyone. its not gonna matter
Look in your outbox under messages and it should be there.
Open that and then click view.
Click Option and go to number 3 and select "Save Sound"
Once you decide to save it, you name it.
Then once u finish that, it saves.
Go to setup, then sounds, Ringer Type and then Calls.
click my melody and it should be there..
if this doesnt work.. then canada sucks... haha jk. whats TELUS?
...
i opened the msg.
then there are two buttons. Done and Menu
then i clicked on Menu.
it has the follow options.
1. reply
2. reply all
3. forward
4. delete message
5. restart
6. done
7. save sender's address
8. save messave
9. save items
10. details
and.. number 9, save items, seems to be the only way to save the recorded sound..
and when i save the sound
it automatically saves as a sound clip file..
hmm? -.-
...
Under number 8 - save message...is there a way to scroll from left to right? If so, then scroll until you see save sound. That should work for you!
...
#8.. save message.
then once its saved in your "saved box"
you can get it like that..
Dont do it under save items
thats why its comin out wrong
...
okee.. here's what i did
menu -> #8. save message.
then i see two options..
1. save as draft
2. save as template
....?
now what -.-
...
