I know that its been asked before but is there actually a way for you to record a voice memo as a ringer or to get free ringers and if so can someone give me a step by step process? Thanks so much for your help!!
...
1. Record a memo of voice, music, sounds, whatever.
2. Save the memo, any name will do.
3. Start a pix message and fill in the "Send To" field. I think that adding a picture is optional. Move down to the "Sound" field and select "Option". Select "Voice Memo" and you'll be able to attach your memo from (1) above, or you can create a new memo now.
4. Send the message and then go to your Outbox to pull up the message you just sent.
5. When viewing the message, you'll have the option to save the sound that was attached.
6. You can save the sound file with any name you like. Voila, you have yourself a ringtone to use from the "My Melody" option.

Ah, thank you very much for the inforation. does this count a as pictures message outside of the network or inseide of the network?
...
Couldn't tell you, I suppose it depends on who you send it to. You can send it to yourself, so you'd have the message in your in- and outboxes.

How is the audio quality? Is the microphone on the phone good enough to record music that sounds decent?
...
Eh, not really cause when you record the music, it plays really low on the phone unfortunatly☹️ Oh Well it was a worth-while attempt.

I forgot to mention that the memo you record will play very quietly, but when you send/save it when attached as a sound file, the sound is much louder as a ringtone than as a memo. But if you want to make your own ringtones, WAV files are much better.
...
are you talking about sendingy ourself the sound file from the Verizon wireless Pix Place?
...
No, from your phone send the message to your own number. But that was just to be sure to keep it 'in the network' to avoid extra charges. Surely you have friends or family within the network, but it doesn't matter who you send the message to, it will be in your Outbox (if you're set up to keep it there) and you can retrieve your converted voice memo there. Just try it, you'll see.

I know i did try that and when you save the music file to the phone, it sounds soo low that you can barely hear it. Unfortunatley it didnt quite work out the way i had imagined it working!

I tried this twice and it doensn't work...it's saved in a .qcp file. The songs play fine but i'm unable to set it as a ringtone...

It's pretty crappy to be honest. I've found that the best homegrown ringtones come from WAV files you record on a PC. See my post below from a few weeks ago ...
