Z600: green light never stops flashing
Hi,
Just got a Z600.
My green light never stops flashing, even with no unread calls.
I could have sworn that the flashing green
light on the side when the phone is closed
was to notify of a missed call or message.
Does anyone else's z600 do this, or am i missing something in the phones
setup that it's notifying me of.
Or is it just supposed to always blink when there's reception.
Thanks

will the unlocked version of this phone work with cingular.
Z600 and BT250... ugh
My Z600 was giving me problems so I sent it in to be RMA'd. SE actually fixed everything but wen I got the phone back, a strange incompatibility seems to have appeared between my phone and my Jabra BT250. When I am on a call and my phone is closed (either initiated via voice dialing or closed after dialing is done) and I have to open the phone again, the mic on the BT250 stops working. I can still hear the person on the phone, but they cannot hear me. The only fix I have found is to manually transfer the sound back to the phone and then back to the headset. I have called SE and they said try another headset. I did (a moto bt headset) and it worked perfectly. I called Jabra and they said it is clearly a phone issue since it started after SE r...

US Carrier Availability? T-Mobile?
Any idea when the z600 will be on sale from T-Mobile or other US Carriers?
There's only one day left in Q3 and still no announcements.

i use iSync on the Mac and a jabra bluetooth headset. i have lost all connectivity of these two features. I have done master reset on the phone. blown out ally iSync preferences etc. nothing seems to work--and of course, since the master phone reset i now have no contacts in my phone.

warning on z600
Do not get the unlocked Z600 if you plan to use AT&T. It doesn't work on GSM 850 and AT&T is moving there now. In fact, they are sending to customers free phones to replace phones they sold such as the T68i with new phones that work on 850. GSM 850 is simply GSM technology operating in the Cellular (800 MHz / 850 MHz) frequency band. Both the technology and frequency band have been around for a long time, but only in 2002 were they combined.
In the U.S. prior to 2002, GSM technology only operated in the PCS (1900 MHz) frequency band. AT&T is making heavy use of 850 for GSM.
GSM 850 addresses the needs of carriers with Cellular licenses switching from other technologies to GSM.
Before the existence of GSM 850, the Cellular band was c...

Prices for this phone
I was wondering if anybody found any cheaper prices for this phone and where they found it. I've seen prices on ebay for $359.00 and as low as $164.99 on just-talk.com WITH a 2 yr cingular contract. I already have t-mobile and was wondering if you've seen any prices below $250...thanks in advance for any help.

How is service on Tmobile in NYC?
I'm probably going to purchase this phone... mostly for the bluetooth so I can surf on a PPC or palm & I refuse to use AT&T. I've heard that the cingular service may be questionable in the GMS band so I think my only choice is Tmobile.
Anyone have any experience with Tmobile in the NYC area?
My experiece with carriers:
Verizon srvice has been great. (Very rare for me to loose a signal. I can talk on my T720 from Brooklyn to Westchester non-stop without loosing a signal. Unfortunately, they do not offer any phones with bluetooth.)
AT&T's reps are rude & their sales people mis-represent the contracts. I will never deal with them again.
MCI Wireless' cust srvc was terrible but reception was great (They rented Verizon's network)

Where is this phone available in NYC?
😕 I've heard this phone is available in the NYC area for ~$100-150 with activation. I'm assuming this is with a 2 yr contract. I'd be willing to pay up to ~$200 with a 1yr contract or ~$300 with no contract. I've seen it on ebay, for ~$300 & in the shops on this sit for not much more, but I have yet to see a discount for this phone with activation. Does anybody have any suggestions more specific than the NYC area?
How does this phone work on Tmobile?
i have att and hate it and i love this phone and want it, im going to switch carriers and if this phone works on tmobile im definitely spending the cash to do so.
also has there been any reported issues with this phone?

Z600 won't work for long on AT&T
Do not get the unlocked Z699 if you plan to use AT&T. It doesn't work on GSM 850 and AT&T is moving there now. Bluetooth Sync With SE Z600
When I sync my MAC powerbook via bluetooth my contacts sync fine but the calander only syncs up my "to do items" and not the appointments in my calander. I am running iCal. I did not have this problem with my T39m. Any thoughts.

Z600 Availability
Any one has any news, rumour on when this is going to be carried by ATT? Also, does anyone have any guide as to all this lockied and unlocked phones thing? I travel to Asia quite a bit and I can't afford paying $5/minute when someone in an Asian country call me from just 1 mile away. Thanks, The Boots

Z600 vs T300
this may be a dumb question- I work for t-mobile customer care and I have the t300, I am not sure why I purchased it as cust's do complain about the phone and it has a horrible time connecting. I know that off and on (Sony) Ericsson produces phones that are flukes-- bad phones. The R280 that I had when I had att back in '00 was a good phone and the t28 I stole from my dad is a good phone but my t300 sucks... compared to the t300, how is the z600? it is not offered by any us carriers and I do not know if t-mobile will get it and it is $440 and is a large investment, is it a solid phone? 😉

time frame?
I was very interested in this phone. But now I could care less. I would buy the Sony Ericcson z600 but I'm playing the same waiting game with that phone 🙂
My previous experience with SE is that those phones rock. I busted my T68i and decided to go with a Siemens (needed bluetooth and they didn't sell the T68i anymore) and I wish I could have stayed with SE. Especially if you need bluetooth. All other bluetooth users, check out the coolest app ever sallingclicker.com to control your iTunes, iPhoto, DVD player, etc. Awesome if your a Mac user.
Moto is getting a lot of hype for the V600 but I'd buy the z600 if I could get it in AZ from AT&T or tMobile. Which ever one comes out first I'll get.
BTW - why does the overseas market kick th...
