i think you might be talking about the European conversion plug. incase you travel to Europe you can bring your phone with you and still power it up. since t-mobile has world class phones or tri-band samsung included that. I have never gotten one until this samsung but it is a more high-end phone so i guess business people who travel a lot might need it. hope that is what you are talking about.
