Nokia 6225 / PM6225

When I try to log on to my mobile webmail site that needs a security cert "https://", I get a "Security error: Untrusted server certificate". I notice that the phone certificate on Vision web help is a 'Verisign Class 3 public primary CA', but I think I need it to be a "Verisign Class 3 secure server CA'. Other mobile web phone users are able to log in with a similar phone with WAP 2.0. Is this a phone issue or a Vision certificate issue. Any help.

Otherwise, this 6225 is an awesome phone and I don't want to change it just to access my secure webmail.

when i go to the link on my phone, it plays the tune after i select download, but does not save the new ringer in my ringers folder inside downloads. Any suggestions?

anybody know why the info page on this phone says that the speaker-phone feature is half duplex? on mine, i'm able to talk just fine while others are talking, i thought half-duplex means that you can't do that?????

I know the user manual states that it supports MMS up to 45kB, but I have issues receiving larger than approx. 25kB. Anyone else expirence this? I am fairly sure it is not a network issue.

Hi - Does anyone know if its possible to stop that startup graphic & music sequence that plays when you turn on the Nokia 6225 from Sprint? It plays that standard Nokia tune, and it kind of defeats the purpose of having a vibrate mode if this 3-second song sounds hwne you power on!!
Would appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks.

I recently bought the 6225 despite the somewhat unfavorable reviews I've read. The only worrisome part for me are the complaints re battery life, though it might not matter for me since I'm not a heavy duty user (I dont care if the screen quality isn't great, I dont really care about the camera, and if I want a radio I'll turn on my stereo). Basically I wanted a phone with great form factor and good reception. So if the battery life stinks I'll return it.

So far have noticed:
-Reception & voice quality is great
-One design flaw in my opinion: the screen saver comes on with nothing but the time displayed. If you've missed a call, it doesn't show it on the screen saver, so if you've walked away from where your phone is & wonder if you...

Ok. I want to use this phone to connect my computer to the internet. But I can't figure out how. I went to Nokia.com and downloaded all the software. Does anyone know what I need to do?

Does any one know if this card slot can be used as a gsm phone? Just curious.. 😉

I'm running PC Suite 6.2.c5 (The newest one) and I have a tonne of MID Ring tones on my PC.

When I go into the sound editor program, the mid plays as it should but refuses to update to the phone.

It only says ... Failed to update ringing tone to the phone.

I've updated images and such to it so I don't know why this won't update my ringers too.

Any ideas?

I recently downloaded the new pc version of Nokia suite 6.2.5 I think.
It now has the camera conectivity
How to do it:

1 - load up Nokia Suite
then click on Transfer Files. now your in the explorer at the Nokia Phone Browser.
You should see your phone below if you have your DKU-5 data cable attached and drivers installed.

2 - Folder Path: Nokia Phone Browser\Nokia 6225\Picture Mail\CameraA

3 - right click on the files inside the "CameraA" folder and select Download.

4 - Go to the folder you downloaded the files to and RENAME the files and add the file Extention ".jpg" the the end of each file.

Example: Image001.jpg

I had downloaded a few rings, and I know how to set them as my main ringer, but I can't figure out how to customize a ringer to a specific person. I didn't have a problem doing this on my last phone. Does anybody know how to do this, or know if it is even possible on this phone?

My son and daughter in law both recently bought Nokia 6225 phones and are on the same network as my wife and I who both have Samsung SCH-N181 phones. We have recently been away in the country with them and whilst in most areas both our phones were able to pick up the network and use the phones, neither Nokia 6225 phones would pick up the network and receive or make calls. Any other Nokia 6225 users have similar problems? We live in Sydney, Australia.

I don't know much about cell phone batterys

Is there a way to use the ringers in the tones folder for indiviual Caller Rings...

I can only access a short list of the rings in the phone and no way to get to the actuall tones directory
