NO RINGER ID???
☹️
IS THERE A WAY AROUND THIS???
IF NOT, LOOKS LIKE I'LL BE RETURNING THIS PHONE...

Yes you can have ringer ID or Pic ID (take someones pic and their face shows as ID) with the E715. It's under the user group setting. It alows you to set a ring tone for each user group. I believe there are ten user groups to set.

ALSO, IVE NOTICED TRYING TO GET THE PIC TO SHOW UP FOR THE RINGER ID, GOING INTO GROUP SEARCH, THEN GROUP EDIT...THE ONLY OPTIONS FOR THIS ARE EITHER RING TONE OR GRAPHIC DISPLAY AND THE GRAPHICS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN CHEAP LITTLE GRAPHICS. NO ID PICS AVAILABLE. I BELIEVE THAT OPTION IS ON THE E-700

For it to work you take a friends pic or a pic for that paticular ID. Then push the directional pad up (on the camera icon) and then press my photos. It will say view on the right and options on the left. The options will let you set the photo as wallpaper or caller ID etc. It should work then. I have heard that it only appears on the internal screen NOT the external. But I have not tried it yet myself so I am not sure.

I forgot to mention when you activate anykey answer in the extra settings menu, you have to deactivete "active folder" for the pic ID to work on the internal display. Apparently having both "active folder" and "anykey answer" checked the active folder will overide the other.
(Active folder settng answers call automaticly when the flip is opened )

sorry, but without modding the firmware there is no way to have someones personal picture display on the external display, the only thing you can have is the animations for the caller groups, there is a thread about this on howard forums, you could mod the images using januka with your own photos, but the only downfall is that you only have 10 caller groups so you could only apply the photos for 10 people

I just did a test and the "Pic ID" is only on the internal screen. For it to work you do as I mentioned in the previous note and then set the phone to "any key answer" ( "menu" "phone Settings" - "extra settings" ) which alows you to open the flip without answering the call. Then you can see the pic before pressing any key to connect the call. without the any key answer activated when I opened the flip I saw the pic for a splic second before it was connected by the phone fully opening. I hope this helps.
