Samsung SGH-E715

Hi. We just got Samsung e715s. We like them with the exception of a couple of things we can't work out.

One of them is that it appears as though the headphone jack is a slightly different size than the universal jack that comes on Plantronic headphones. My jack seems to fit in there fine, but there's an annoying buzz and it keeps dropping out. When I use the earbud that came with the phone, it's fine, but who can use those pieces of crap? How do they stay in your ear?

Aaaaannnywaaay....we saw one place with an adapter, but only one place and they have no phone number to talk to them about it to make sure it's right. I've searched and searched and don't find any other online companies that carry adapters.

Does this phone have a reminder/tickler for events? My v205 does not and will only alarm at the time of the event.

Will this phone sync with outlook. I currently have a v205 and it s*cks! I bought samsungsync v2.2 and it works okay, but not great. EasyGPRS is worthless by itself.

I really like T-mobile, but can't find a phone that I like.

I have T-Mobile and don't have a lot of choice in clamshell phones, so I was wondering which one of these are the better phone. Thanks 😁

Can the E715 be connected to a Mac with a Data/usb cable?

I know on the E715 you can put in different #'s per entry (ie mobile, work, home, etc) but when the person calls from one of the entries, it doesn't show where they're calling from (work, home, etc)

Is there something that can be done to correct this?

Can the E715 ring and vibrate at the same time?

i just want a normal ring tone. you would think samsung/t-mobile would include a ringtone that sounded like a normal phone.

anyone have any? i found a zip file of ring tones from a UK site, but those sounded awful.

How are this phones Outlook (and not outlook express :-) ) sync capabilities?
Can it sync contacts and calender entries? Easily & completely - including notes etc?
Over Infrared?

And how does it compare to the Motorola V300?

I have two SGH-E175's & will probably end up having to sell them since I am getting out of my T-Mobile contract to switch to another carrier. Love the phone but have discovered I am in marginal and non--covered areas for T-Mobile and haven't had a decent, complete call since signing up with them. After several months of inquiries and complaints, I finally have the unlock codes, which I hear I'll need to switch to another service. However, I was just told that, even with the phones unlocked, the features I so loved with these phones will be unusable with a different carrier. If all I can do is use the phone for phone calls and taking pictures (but will have no ability to send the pictures or print them out or have no other Internet-related...

If anyone can compare sound quality on both phones, keeping in mind the TMobil Service as usual. The reviews are close with some concern for software problems with the V300. Any reviews much appreciated.

I just left Tmobile because i was having a horrible time keeping calls connected. They zapped me with a $200 fee that broke my contract. jerks. you have crappy service and i get to pay you for it. whatever.

i bought the supposed unlock code from somone on ebay for a buck, but haven't had an email from them yet. will someone let me know? im skeptical.

i went to the setting and tried to change the keypad sound. there is like, cool, piano, beep, tone as options. But like... they ALL SOUND THE SAME.

is it just me, or? Is there something wrong with my phone?

Anyone need 2 car chargers? I got a Motorola V600. The chargers are the ones you buy from TMobile and they're still packaged and unused. Let me know.
