New MMC not recognized in Nokia 6230?

I tried to put in a new TwinMoss 1GB MMC and the software (NokiaSuite PC) refuses to acknowledge its presence. What am I doing wrong?

Did you format it on your phone first? Also, the Nokia 6230 does not support all brands of MMC card.
