Problem with BT connectivity... (PC Suite)

I'm having trouble getting the Nokia PC Suite to recognize my BT connection. My phone and laptop are connected fine. I am able to send files through explorer fine. The PC Suite cannot detect the connection or the BT software, for that matter. Anyone have any solution to this?

If you do use windows explorer to transfer files, how can you make it go directly to the MMC card? I'm having trouble uploading large files because it is going directly to the cell phone's memory, rather than the MMC card.

No, I mean when you transfer any file to the phone. It is first stored on the phone memory, then it asks you where to send it. Sometimes the file I want to send is too big to store on the phone's memory, but can go on the MMC easily. Do you know how to make it directly go to the MMC?

I am told that the software you installed for the BT on your PC creates a problem for the PC suite. Told to remove it and PC Suite would then connect via BT. Tried it but didn't work so gave up on BT for now. I use the cable (make sure you have the right cable) to transfer files now. If you are set up properly on the PC suite, use the File Manger Option. Your phone would list a sub drive (mine has "E:" under Nokia 6230 folder when connected) where your memory card is located. Just drag and drop files into it just like you would on the PC. Hope this helps.

I haven't found any setting to make the MMC card the landing zone for Bluetooth file transfers. After one 8MB file failed, I've been pulling the MMC card out to move files to it. A couple of huge movies and one Simpsons episode is about all I have on it now. No headphones = no MP3s yet.

At least transferring pictures back to the computer is hassle-free...

I had this same problem with my Ngage. Spent about 45 minutes on the phone with Nokia tech support. They said there are a lot of issues with XP SP2 and PC Suite.

The way we solved my problem was to redownload the PC Suite and reinstall it. This solved the connectivitiy issue, though things still don't work 100 percent right. I think part of the problem is obviously PC Suite itself.
