My local store got it in yesterday and I went down there to chk it out. Its real ugly, which didnt really bother me but it was sooooo big.Compared to my 6000, it was a brick. Then we did side by side comparisons to the 670, and the A670 blew it away in all aspects other than the fact that the 670 cant send videos. Now Im in a quandary, because I want a VM phone but geez, u guys will see, it is sooo big, so oblong, not rounded (which make it appear smaller) like the 6000.Im in a real quandary!!!!

They are practically identical in size and weight. I don't think you should make your decision on that at all.

Im just bummed cause the 670 is so small n cool n great, but it doesnt send VM. Youre right tho, and we'll have to bite d bullet and get either the 710 or 7000 and theyll b a little bigger than what we've been used to. Oh well

the 670 doesnt not blow away the VX7000 it may have a few better features but in no way blows it away, look at the battery life? LG wins, a670 holds 2 videos..vx7000 holds 31, thats a blow away, VX7000 supports .mp3's, and custom graphics with .jpeg,GIF,BMP.. an so on.. can you assign the callers voice specifically for there name on a a670? i think not, i have nothing against the a670 i was about to buy one before i realized how soon the vx7000 was being released its deffinently worth the wait because even if you were to send videomessages you wouldnt be sending very many with the holding capacity of 2. But that is probably what you get with the size of the a670. The only actual PRO it has is its external screen is 65k colors compared to vx7...

oh yeah how could i forget vx7000 internal LCD is 262k colors where as a670 is 65k but makes up for that with the 65k external screen so it seems to me there about even in pro's and con's.

you can't compare motorola to lg it just doesn't line up, i mean motorola sucks. The v60 is the best thing to happend to then and it's a piece of junk, antenna breaks off all the time no light up key pad. all motorola chargers are retarded they are meant to break and have to be replaced, motorola's just being greedy. plus their menus are ridiculous and confusing.

i just wish i knew what the deal was with the 9900 cause thats what i was really set on getting but now it seems like that phone could just be a lost cause for all we know...but between the v710 and 7000 i think id prolly take the v710

Well comparing the vx6000 to the vx7000 they are almost identical in size.

vx6000 3.54" x 1.90" x 0.95" 3.98oz
vx7000 3.69" x 1.89" x 0.98" 3.88oz

I don't call that a brick! I wasn't impressed with the a670 although I did like its size.

youre right, but as I explained, the 6000 is curvier so it looks even smaller. Anyways, just go to a VZW store and ask to see it. Trust me its HUGE

the vx6000 isnt all that big and i highly doubt it is HUGE LG isnt stupid there not going to produce a brick sounds like your just trying to discourage here, also not all VZW stores have that phone infact very limited do.

maybe it was an optical illusion but it looked big and oblong like a brick compared to my 6000 and much more so compared to a 670. But, hey, see for yourself. Even the stores that dont have em yet, will have em in day or two as theyre being launched next week on friday.Iz all good, Peace

One of the nice things about still using the 4400 (still the best phone made for VZW) is that the size won't seem bad.

Yes the phone has both ringer ID and custom ringtones. PhoneScoop just hasn't gotten around to updating it. The phone accepts mp3 ringtone nicely, someone has posted they had success with one up to 50 sec in length. Seems as if the phone can play just about anything you throw at it. Also on the subject of flix messaging, it will simply deduct from your pix messaging pool. There won't be a separate pricing plan for it but there will be a promotion on pix/flix messaging. Basically it will draw from the same pool of messages.

You may view it for yourself, i'm hosting a little sample at http://ww...

ok cool.. thanks for the info... i thought that I had heard there was ringer ID but it hadn't been listed and i thought it might have something to do with either vzw not telling them all the specs yet, or phonescoop just sitting around w/their thumbs up their butt

I live in LA, and 1 store that I know the mgr got em and another hadnt yet. Regardless tho, they wont sell it till it launcehes next friday the 25th. However, it couldnt hurt to go to your local VZW store and ask nicely to see it. Again, regardless of the stores getting em in, they wont sell it till the 25th.

When you say "have them" are you talking about the dummy models or the real thing? I understand that they can't sell them for another week but that date would seem more concrete if the real ones were floating around. I haven't seen them on ebay yet so I am still skeptical about the 25th.

The date is concrete....I also work for VZW....it is being announced all over. The 7000 will be released at the launch of Video Messaging. $249.99/two yr....$299.99/one yr. There will be a $50 mail-in rebate making it quite affordable. There will also be 50% off video messaging until September.

Thank you. Is the video messaging going to be like the text messaging packages? Pay $3 - $7 and send all you need?

The 50% off promotion will be
25 cents each
$2.99 for 20
$4.99 for 40

This promotion will end September 15th.

They will also have a bundle package for text/pix together ranging from $7.99 - $14.99

They are on eBay, one real one anyway and the other is a pre-order. He actually offered it to me for $460 + $13 for overnight shipping. Yes I have seen the phone that he is selling and he has sent me pix. I'm going to get the v710 he offered me instead for $550. The phones are brand new with, battery, holster/belt clip, charger and manual. View the pix, that i'm hosting at:
