I've been waiting for this phone so decided to contact Nokia for status. Below is the response I recd today. Needless to say, I'm bummed. ☹️
The Nokia 7200 phone cannot be used in the United States due to differences in the bandwidth frequency. The Nokia 7200 phone operates on the GSM (Global System for Mobile) 900 and 1800 MHz frequencies generally used in Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia. The GSM networks in the United States operate on the 850 and 1900 MHz frequencies.
Currently, Nokia does not have plans to release a U.S. version of the Nokia 7200 phone. However, we are consistently working to improve our selection of mobile phones in the United States.

The problem that people don't quite grasp is that it is not the manufacturer who decides what phones to release in the US. The decision is ultimately the carriers. The US carriers really limit our variety of phones that we, as consumers, get to choose from. We need to go carrier corporate in our distaste. We actually need to get out of the free phone mentally. Europe and Asia get all the cool phones because they pay for them.
