BlackBerry 6280

I've been wanting to get a single device so I wouldn't have to carry both my Ipaq and my cell phone. The new Curve and Pearl are out of my pocketbook range. I bid on a Blackberry 6280 on ebay and won it for $20. I'm hoping I can sync this device with my Outlook calendar, tasks and contacts at work and home.
I haven't received it yet. Is there any advice you can give me before I get into it?
