How to download contact numbers from the phone?

I would like to download the phone numbers that are programmed into my phone's memory, but I am unsure how to proceed. When I purchased the phone, it did not come with a data cable, and the instruction manual does not describe this operation.
How should I proceed?

Cable: google for "vx3200 data cable"

Software: google for "bitpim" or "datapilot"
