How to tell when phone is fully charged?

The manual says the battery charges in about 3 1/2 hours. Does something blink or change color when the battery has a full charge? Also, is it OK to leave the charger plugged into the phone overnight?

The phones displays a message saying is fully charged.

and the VX 3200 might take 3 1/2 hours to charge only if u discharged the battery completely, other wise it only takes about 1 1/2 hours.
