How can i get animated Gif to play in the web browser on my 6620? I want to see the local radar loop and which way the storms are moving

Hey guys, I have a question. I just got the Nokia 6620 and I was wondering if there's an easy way to transfer my contacts from my PC to the phone. I have all my contacts saved in a Word document...should I move them to Microsoft Excel? Is there a way to move all my contacts from my PC straight to the phone? Thanks guys 🙂

Guys, I own a Nokia 6620 and I have some few queries/probs which I badly need expert advise.

1. How do you increase the # of MP3 tracks played in the music player? I have a 512MB MMC and more than a hundred MP3 stored but the playlist could only contain max of 99 tracks.

2. When I set the default delivery of new SMS to the memory card, the message tone doesnt beep. It only does when it's set to phone memory. Hence my phone memory is filled up.

3. I used to get poor signals in some places although there is good reception in the site. I think the prob is my phone since when I try to insert my SIM in other phone models, it gets good signal. This scenario really makes me sick. I am actually from the Philippines.

Can I use a 'gif animation' as animated wallpaper for Nokia6620? I tried to set it as wallpaper but it just takes first static frame forom gif animation.

I am very interested to learn and know about animated wallpaper for Nokia6620. Is there any other way to get wallpaper animated. (P.S. I am not looking for screensaver)

I am very intrigued by this phone and I am thinknig about actually switching over from verizon b/c of this phone. I have a few questions...one how is the phone as an mp3 player and ...two how is it as a palm pilot...and is there something comparable coming out, thanks in advance.

I'm looking for the code (if it exists) to show the signal strength in dBm or some other unit instead of just the bars. I would also be interested in any other hidden codes.

Anything i try to do it seems to lag and come up with this message. It then trys to restart but i have to help it by pushing the power key a couple times. On occasion, not everytime, i have to set the date and time again and all my contacts and setting are erased, the MMC is fine though. Its really a pain cause sometimes i cant even answer a call because it freezes. Im going to take it back but any ideas what was wrong? 👿

I just upgraded from a 3650 last night and this phone is amazing!! The display is at least 3x as bright!

Along those lines, I noticed on the very left and right hand sides of the screen (about halfway up on both sides) I can see the light from 2 white LEDS leaking through. You have to look at the phone at almost a 45 degree angle. Is that normal? thanks!

Just bought a 6620, nice phone but the volume on the ear piece is low, I tried to adjust it with the joystick but it still seems low compared to my old nokia. Any suggestion's?

I'm currently running v1.5 of vNes and emulation is danm near flawless. Does anyone know if the J2ME version works even better?

Also, I can't seem to get Picodrive to play sound. The site says to delete all previous INI files, I deleted the entire app directory of the previous Picodrive installs on my MMC, are the INI files stored seperately elsewhere? Has anyone else had sound playback on the latest Picodrive with the 6620?

I don't know why but the Outlook is not syncing with the phone (I tried IR and the cable). When I start the sync, it stops when moving outlook folders To the phone (I don't have anything on the phone and don't need it to reverse sync).

Anybody have the solution?

I'm looking at buying this phone, it's amazing, and CHEAP for the features.

I'd plan on using the MP3 Player function at the gym... I have some headphones that wrap-around my neck so they aren't getting in the way while on the treadmill, good ones. Is there any converter for it so I can plug them in? Or am I stuck using Nokias (crappy) ear-bud ones?

on where i can get this phone dirt cheap?? I just bought a truck so i don't have the money to pay full price. Any ideas???

I just got the Nokia 6620, and I was wondering how I could remove, for example, the default ringtones that come on the phone? I want to basically delete all of them, so how do I go about doing so?

I just got a new 6620 under AT&T but I want to use it for T-mobile. Can anyone help me out to unlock my phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Default apps and some I have put on my nokia 6620, I now would like to remove. Problem is it wont let me. I keep getting "unable to delete..." when I press clear. No delete option is given. I have pcSuite, but it doesn't show many of the files I want gone. Anyone else have this problem or know how I can get rid of these things? Thanks

This is probably a stupid question, but is SD and MMC the same thing?! or can they both be used by the same reader?

A lot of places I'm looking for memory to buy, they list them in the same list, and seperate from say... XD, and Sony's one.

It's hard to find any MMC memory, at least in Canada, and in the 15 minutes I looked on the web. If it's SD, then lots!

That's my biggest concern about it. It seems really light and plasticky... do you think it can stand up to a year of jean-pocket abuse?

Also, what cases do a good job of protecting it?

Wheres a good website for Symbian programs like the one i heard that can give this phone megapixel resolution, whether free or pay. any good sites?
