Motorola V80

I am trying to get my sim card in the back of the phone and cant get the back cover off. I have tried for 2 hrs pushing that stupid silver botton on top and nothing but broke nails. ANy suggestions??? 😢

I bought a USB data cable for my V80 but without software CD. Can anyone please give me links to dowload free software for the USB data cable.

I will be using this phone for work purposes where I am on call overnight, so that means that I need to make sure that the V80 has a txt message alert tone that can be set which will go off until I wake up and grab the phone or is very long and loud. Can someone help me and let me know if that is possible w/this phone? Thanks!

I have a v551, and I was just wondering if the v80 would take the same sim card. If anyone can give me an answer, I'll really appreciate it. Thanks

Well probably not ever, but this phone is Awesome! this is coming from a guy who has a different cell phone just about every week. I had the RAZR last week by the way. This phone is sooooo much better than the V3, and the best part is that it's half the price (more than half, depending on where you buy the V3)
It has all the same features, more ringtones (RAZR had......ohhh about 5 ringtones) The coolest thing about this phone is the rhythm lighting, you have to see it yourself to know how cool it is.....the lights are sound-sensitive, so i put it in my truck and the lights flash to the beat of the music! very cool! also the lights go on depending on the state of the phone, when you have a BT headset connected, lights flash blue, when...

I just got the motorola v80 and I am with T-Mobile wireless....how do I set up the web browser to use on network? anybody know what to do?

Is cingular able to provide the needed coverage for the v 80. Item number: 5759653786 on Ebay for $189 with buy it now!! Alot cheaper then all you guys paid.

Is there a MMC card in this phone or not? If not, how do you store the MP3 ringtones on the phone. Curious b/c I read somewhere that you can only fit 3 MP3 ringtones on the phone. Thanks

I have had my v80 for 7 months now. I've never dropped it, never got it wet, never had any previous problems. All of a sudden almost everytime I swing open the phone it freezes. Everytime I get an incoming call it freezes. Before this is was working fine. Could it be the battery or the software??? I'd hate to just lose a $300 phone. I'm thinking about flexing it too v600 software and seeing if that works. Any help would be appreciated.

i dont know if this v80 forum is dead or alive but......
whenever i get a voicemail i get a blank text message from "_@" i never get a notification under my voicemail section though. after i check the voicemail, when i hang up, i get another text message from what looks like "^@" and the message field is blank. anyone know what's going on?

ive got the correct setup for my text messages and ive had my voicemail reset by t-mobile but i still have this problem.

well the only problem i have found with the phone i have is that for some reason the lights going around the phone are almost always on. I will turn the phone off and they lights will turn off, but when i turn it on they stay off.

After a little bit the lights just come on, and stay on. Not sure if its because i recieved a call and they just wont go off or what, but its a pain in the behind area when i need to hide my phone during movies or what not because the lights are distracting people.

Anyone else have this problem? I went through and change it so event lights are orr and that no ring tone has lights, but it wont help at all.

Has anyone got the MMS to work on this phone with t mobile. Motorola sucks and T Mobile has tried everyting.

Just purchase a Motorola V80 and am having some problems. I have uploaded some wallpaper into phone that I used successfully on my V600 and it looks terrible on the V80, size is 175x220 pix.,looks like a pic that has been enlarged too much... tried to resize it to larger size in photo program and reload ... still looks terrible..tried changing the resolution on phone to all choices up to 640x480 and looks terrible.looks slightly better if centered but are small....tried several different wallpapers and all do the same thing. the motorola factory installed wallpapers dont look bad...anyone else have this problem and know the answer??

i just got the motorola v80 and i am with att wireless....how do i set up the web browser to use on att? when i had the unlocked v600 i found a link but cant find one now....anybody know what to do?

I recently got a V80 and signed up with T-Mobile. It is working fine except that the screen always stays on during charging no matter I turn the phone on or off. Is this normal? If it is, is there a way to turn it off or set it to sleep mode?

BTW, my phone shows Cingular even though my service provider is T-Mobile. The guy who sold me the phone told me it is normal since this phone was from Asia and it would only recognize Cingular and AT&T's GSM network in the US. Does anyone know if I would get a better or worse reception through Cingular instead of T-Mobile's network?

The phone is Unbranded and Never Locked so I can use it with T-Mobile, Cingular, AT&T, FIDO, Rogers, etc... no matter where I go in the world.
