V220 phoneook software and driver requested
Hello All -
I have a new Motorola V220 with Cingular service.
Is there a (prefer free) software solution to download / update the phonebook via the USB cable to the phone
also looking for the XP driver for this phone

well if u want to get the phonebook from the old phone all u have to do is store the phonebook from the old phone to the simcard and then thats that

You can use MPT (mobile phone tools) software with a normal mini-USB cable.

I have successfully found the driver for using the phone as a modem and I will be attempting the PhoneTools solution later tonight.

Ok, got the PhoneTools installed.
Since I have no idea what I'm doing... heres what happened. Installed the software mentioned earlier in this thread. I selected the USB_Modem as the conntection but when it connected with the phone (connection was made) the V220 was not on the list.
Is there a compatible phone in the default list. Tried the V60 and it querried the phone, but finds no entries in the phonebook.

FYI -
It appears that if entry is saved to SIM on phone then data not read, if entry saved to phone storage then data is read fine.
If anybody has better suggestion it would be welcomed.

OK, don't mind my previous entries... I downloaded the update to version 2.2.1b (selected help->update in the application and followed the directions. Seems things are working fine now.
