speakerphone

I am pretty sure that I will be getting the motorola V65p. When I was playing around with one in the store, I noticed when I tried to use speakerphone with the phone shut, it just hung up! I was surprised becuase my friend has the V60, and it can shut and use speakerphone. Is this a setting, or does the phone not have closed speakerphone?

If I am not mistaken, you can use the speakerphone with the phone closed but only on a PTT call.
