This is really disappointing. Motorola really needs to get it's act together. This unit has been delayed so many times that they will either launch a unit that is already outdated, or will continue to "play catch" up unsuccessfully.
Let's assume they have delayed their launch again for the Nth time until March/April to work on the memory issue...well, when they finally get their act together...by say June 2005 (I don't believe that they will launch by March/April - that is only their intention) and are ready to launch a 64 meg version...by then the industry minimum usable amount of memory will be at 128 Meg and will have to be delay once again or launch an outdated unit....
It is really frustrating, as they have moved the launch da...

oh yeah i get the picture but this time i think that it is really comming out only because my store just got marketing stuff to start advertising this phone along with the a630 v635

Really? You've actually got marketing material for those 3? Are you a Cingular store/agent? I'd love to see the marketing material/dummies for these things if only to know when they're out and to show the customers who come in asking about them.
Hopefully we'll see the stuff soon.

I really hope that this is not the same fiasco as with the MPx220. The stores got the marketing materials months in advance only to see more delays...and then to finally see the phone pulled from several markets and only available through the Cingular web page. Sorry to sound so negative, but I have been wishing for a unit such as this one for a long time...I guess Motorola should learn to start "teasing" its customers a few months before launch and not a whole year before. Lastly, all the specs I have seen for this phone are GSM triband...I have not seen a CDMA or TDMA version...and I really don't think one will come out.

I read online that there European version would be 900/1800/1900 MHZ and the American version would be 850/1800/1900 MHz--all on GSM.

So the a630 is going to finally be released. I noticed back in December on Media Net when downloading ringtones that the a630 was one of the choices for ringtones even though the phone had not been released by Cingular.

When I ask about these phones in the Cingular store, the representatives always look at me like I'm crazy. I even asked the manager at the Cingular store. He had never heard of the MPX300 or the V635. The manager went on to tell me that the a630 is a T-Mobile phone. Wow... âšī¸

I work for T-Mobile in telesales, yeah, the A630 is a T-Mo phone... but I've heard a lot of complaints about it. I've played around with it somewhat, and it's really not all it's made out to be. I'm not all that tickled about it.
Now, I'd never heard of this phone, but it looks like one of the more interesting models. I'd like to just play around with it for a bit. However, it doesn't look like it'd hold up to much wear-and-tear... What's that, one swivel? I can see that breaking easily. I give it a week for anybody that has kids. It's almost similar to the A630 or even the SideKick, with the top and side look.
There's actually another model that Motorola is delaying. It was supposed to come out yesterday through T-Mobile, but ...

Actually, I found some info on the V330... it's like a mix between the V300 and the V600. It looks a lot like the V300, but it's got Bluetooth and whatnot... interesting stuff.

I definitely hope that this phone improves on some of the glitches of the MPX 220.
