Thank you for the info. Why would you believe March, if it is in for Jan 17th?
InfoManager is never definite. It usually gives an approximate date but that doesn't include any delays due to updates in firmware that may have to be flashed on each phone, any shipping problems, any manufacturing problems that may limit the availability of the phone on launch, any ESN mix ups that occurred right before the launch of the VX7000 where each phone has to have a new sticker put on the box. I am putting my money in January. The phone is already passed all the testing so I think they are just waiting for the xmas season to pass and mid to late January launch.
All testing is not complete. They are currently testing MM aka Mobile Media on the 8000. That testing period is set to end mid-January. From there more than likely a final release firmware will be made, if it isn't in the making already, and flashed onto post production models. Stores will receive their dummy kits while VZW preps for nationwide shipment and if all goes well from there a nationwide launch. So yet again I wouldn't bank on January, the 17th is the earliest given no delays.
