-Get any mp3 song.
-open with iTunes.
-click on "Edit"
-go to "Preferences"
-select the "Importing" tab

How do I then get this file into my phone to save it as a ringtone?

my problem isnt converting it...it is sending it to my phone. do i use my regular email, text message, pix message? when i receive the text, i get an error message.
If you are getting an error, then your problem most likely IS in converting it. I doubt you did it correctly.
Check again all the conversion steps and make sure you have done each one properly. What program did you use for modifying the file?
If you go to yahoo, open a free account and than use there server to send yourself ringtones...it should work.

-If you like it than right click on the "mp3 audio"...and save it as either a mid, or as a m...
