Battery life question
I just got this phone about a week ago. The first time, I completely discharged the battery and did a full charge on it. The phone lasted about 20 hours with ~35 mins of talk time and maybe took a couple pictures. I charged it again the next day and the phone died after about a day of idle. I was able to get the battery switched, and this time I didn't discharge the batttery before doing a full charge and now it lasts maybe 30 hours on a full charge with about 30 mins of talk time. Is this normal? Do I need to charge the battery a few times before it can last longer?

my battery lasts about 2-3 days depending on how much i talk/take pictures. what u should do is try to drain the battery all the way untill the phone can't even turn on, then charge the phone for 4 hours(usually the ammount of time needed to get a full charge) the tech at a verizon store said that the batterys get overcharged if u leave them on the charger to long. if that doesn't work, it might be something with your phone; if you live in an area with poor signal or if the ev-do network is poor, the phone will use more battery to look for better signal.

the truth about batteries
the batteries have a chip that will control power flow. the differant manufacturers will set the chips to differant numbers of charges before the battery will not hold a charge as long. the average battery will last about 500 charges before it starts to deminish. as far as battery life there is no need to fully discharge a battery they are litium ion and do not have a memory effect like the older nickle batteries. also these batteries will never leak because they are whats called a dry cell which means that there is no liquid in the battery to leak out. for the question about battery life over all you can adjust some of the settings to save some battery life i personaly get about 2 days with about 1 hour tal...
