LG L1200

I have two LG1200 phones and purchased the data cable for both. I can't seem to find a USB driver to recognize this phone. Every time I try to connect to the PC and load a driver, the computer says it's not the correct driver and continues with an unknown device. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does anyone know how to transfer photos from the LG1200 to a PC? 😢
Doesn't look like anyone has used this forum for the LG1200 for many months. Hopefully someone will see this and respond.
The LG1200 is no longer on the LG web site and I can't find info on how to transfer photos. I would love to hang on to this phone just so my 6-year old could take photos and put on the computer. The phones reception was always a problem but I like its features. 😛

how good is the camera such as pictures?

Does anyone know how to set up DTMF so that you can attach a pin to a phone number. I.e Voicemail etc...? Thanks in advance

What is this software upgrade that you can download pictures to your PC instead of through your carrier?

I think the T9 implementation on the L1200 is somewhat broken. Specifically, the way capitalization is handled is different (and incorrect) from all other phones that use T9.

Try this:
Turn on T9 and start a new message. Type 842817. On the L1200, it comes out as "That'S", but on all other phones it comes out as "That's" (lowercase S). There is no practical way, without turning off T9, to type the lower case S.

Here's another:
Start a new message and type the word "John" (5646). It comes out correct. Now try to type "Hello John". You'll have to switch to uppercase to type the J, but there's no option to capitalize only the next letter. Once you switch to uppercase, type 5, then switch to lower case, it forgets about what you previous...

I've been waiting for the L1400 to be released, so have been checking the Cingular website often. I went there this afternoon and noticed the the price of the L1200 is now FREE (after rebates) for signing a 2-yr contract. I hope that means the L1400 is very close to making an appearance, but it's also good news to anyone who wants a 1200. I almost bought one last weekend for $99, so I'm glad I waited.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to set where the time and date you sent a text message will show in the outbox? Also is there a way to delete your recent numbers on text messages? Thanks

A Cingular telesales representative today (6/3) told me that the LG L1200 will be released Friday, June 11th 😁 . I do not know if that's just for telesales or for corporate stores as well.

I am eligible to upgrade my phone soon. Best Buy is selling both the LG L1200 and the Samsung P107 for $99.99. I can't decide which phone is better or which was would be the best for me. Any suggestions to sway me one way or the other?

Hello. in a User Review, Michael95GT states that you can download the software from the LG site.

"It has IrDA(infrared) but it's only good for sending rintones and phonebook entries when using the Universal LG software(free download from LG's site) The phone is brand new, hopefully LG will release a software pack that allows picture transfer."

But I cant seem to find it 😢 can someone point me to the right direction.

Hey, Im about to start an employee plan through Cingular, but Im having trouble deciding on a phone. Im looking at either the LG 1200 or Moto V400. Can anyone give me some advice or personal opinions as to which is better and why? How do their features stack up to each other, and what problems, if any, have you run across with the LG? best buy has the 1200 for 100 with a 70 dollar rebate , and i want to know if thjey really give u that rebate or is it just so they get i to buy it, b/c i really like the 1200 but i dunno if i'd want to spend 100 dollers on it. so ddo they really give u the rebat eis my questions, thanks for ne help

Hi all, I am in the market for a new phone and ran across the L1200. I like all the features it has to offer and its design. I do have one question, does anybody know if this phones is able to download actually music ringtones where you can hear words. If anyone could answer this question, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am planning on getting this phone, and noticed that the memory is only about 300 KB, pretty durn small for one of these phones.

I'll pretty much only be using up memory with Phonebook ID pictures. About how much memory does one Phonebook picture take up? Also, are you limited on the number of phonebook pictures, or just limited by the memory?
