Motorola E680 / E680i
HELP!
Hi everybody, iam new to the site. i just bought the e680i and iam having trouble setting it up for internet use. I have TMobile and i pay for the service and it worked for the e398 which i use to have. Also does anyone know how to transfer videos from the pc to the phone. any help is would be GREAT. 😁 COOL SITE

1. Setting up t-zones etc:
Open Setup -> Data Network
click on the left bottom thingamajing button, select "New".
Give a profile name (T-mobile or anything you want )
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username : ________ (Leave Blank)
Password : ________ (Leave Blank)
Timeout : _________ (I have it on 1 hour).
Select DNS Server. put 216.155.165.50 as your DNS address
Leave the rest blank ( You dont need CSD settings).
Now, when you open your Browser, click on 'profiles', select "new" from the bottom left button. Give profile some name, Primary Gateway IP is 216.155.165.50 and port is 9201.
Homepage is http://wap.myvoicestream.com
network link: the one that you named as "profile name" in GPRS setup part above

Change the following in T-Mobile settings for Cingular: Match the letter case. Capital or small.
APN: wap.cingular
User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
Do not select DNS server.
In browser profile:
Gateway IP Address: 66.209.11.61

it has some decent themes etc for it. themes and games etc are usually harmless.
be careful. dont flash it unless you know what you are doing. dont make it a very expensive paperweight.
by the way, t-mobile users should try to port 8080

Hey I know this post is kind of old but i work for a Cingular Wireless Corp. Store and I wanted to know how exatcly where you able to input those settings. In the menu i only had the following:
Profile Name
Primary Gateway IP
Port
Secondary Gateway IP
Port
Homepage
Network Link

Is there anyway you could help me, i just got the E 680i and i can not get it to pick up and service and it should i have Cingular and the phone runs on the the right bands. i have had it to cingular dealers and they had never even seen the phone. Can you please help me the only thing that is wrong is that i can't get service is there a code or something u can use??? 😕
