Sony Ericsson S700i

hi i was diassembling my phone to change it to my new housing but what happened was i took the camera out so, but i put it back in without connecting the computer strip back in so now i dunno what to do the camera won;t work does anyone know to to connect the computer strip for the camera back onto the motherboard?

Hey is there a way to send mp3s to the s700i through bluetooth on the mac with isync?? For some reason I can't get it to work I can get my contacts and stuff to send but no files such as mp3s or images if you can help me out that would be great thanks 😁

I am having problems sending Text messages. When i push the send button, shorty after that it says "Sending failed". I havent changed any settings or anything on the phone, except for the mobile networks. but i have also changed this back the way it was and i still can't send text. i have T-mobile. you think its maybe t-mobile the problem, not the phone. I sent hundreds of text messages before with this phone.

i heard that the 128mb could be used but nothin more. Is that true.

Can you still use this phone in america even though it is a 900/1800/1900....america is 850 so does it work well in america??????

Hi there, i have a sony ericsson s700i and i cant seem to use the mp3s i save on it as ringtones. is there a program i can get to convert these mp3s to ringtone format?? some of the factory preset ringtones are in mp3 format and can still be used as a ringtone but not the ones i download from the net??

hey. iv been looking for the right phone for me for like a year now and have then gone off the ones i thought i wanted for various reasons (e.g.the motorola e1000 but then i heard the battery lasts a day if your gunna use it. and the nokia 7610 but then heard the mp3 sound is only mono not sterio etc)

i want a phone that i can have to put music onto and ditch my cd player with all its wires but also for the video, carmera and and other bonus things like bluetooth.(must look kool too)

iv recantly come across the SE S710a and thought that it was what i wanted but then heard its no different from the SE S700i other than having a speakerphone and EDGE. I live in England and also see that everywhere seeling the S710a is in america.

Ok, I've figured out how to use normal mp3's as ringtones, but how do I use jpeg files from my comp and use them for the background. I've tried editing the pics to the right size and my phone knows they're there. The thing is they don't show up anywhere on the phone, even if I put them in the same folder as the other pics. Any advise would be much appreciated.

a few questions please:

a) i'm assuming the only way to use this phone in america is if i buy it "unlocked" (is there any other way to have it unlocked rather than buying it unlocked from ebay?). so i was wondering, which carriers will carry this phone? (i'm assuming cingular)

b) will this phone have instant messaging (AIM)?

c) are there any major differences from this phone and the s710a?

hey everyone.

iv deceded to get this phone now. i just really have one more question.

does anyone know if ill be able to put W.M.A files on this phone to listen to in the media player??.

this would be very handy as im a big music fan and W.M.A file types are about a third of the file size of an MP3 therefore id get much more music on the phone and the fairly small 128MB memory card.

if not are there any other audio file types smaller than an MP3 that the phone supports that i could convert my muscic files to?

I just got the Sony Ericsson S700i phone today. Its awesome, but how do you turn the phone volue down? Im not talking about the ringtone volue but the actual phone volume. I have the ring volume on 1, and all the sounds like shutter sounds, mp3, etc are all extremely loud. I tried pressing the volume buttons on the side but all that did was bring up the Phone Status. I don't want to turn it on silent because I want some sound just no REALLY loud like it is now. Thanks.

It would be really disappointing if s700i features cant be maximized. For example:
1. Is is possible for s700i to support WAV tones like Nokia and P800,900,910i series?
2. Cant I use MP3 or WAV tones for text message alert like in Nokia and P800,900,910i series?
3.Cant i make use of full screen video clips; while watching video clips cant i enlarge the screen to full view like in other phones?

Does Sony ericsson have software upgrade for this? please help 🙄

I not sure which one to get I want something that plays good games and has a good camera. The S700i well 1.3 megapixel is pretty good but I am guessing the games would be a lot better with the P900 since it is a PDA after all. Also, I heard the P900 looks really crappy but I really don't know which one to get. I really want to be able to play good long games like Risk or 2 player Chess but those are only for the PDA I am guessing. If not please tell me, because I really don't know much about that.

as simply a phone, it works fine for me in Tampa Bay area BUT, can i make that BUT bigger? Cingular tech has no documentation on how to set up WAP, email or anything else. If you go to the SE site it shows that their setup tools work with Cingular but no new settings arrive after you send them. i have tried several times over several days.

Cingular tech support was clueless on this. said, good luck, contact SE. any help here?

I just got this phone, I find it so cool, it has a lot of features and a bunch of other cool stuff. But what it is for me a mayor turn off is that at the moment of writing a text message it doesn't give you the option to write in Spanish. You can just get German, English and French. 😕 is it possible to add a language to it????

😕 Is there an HTML Browser download like the opera browser but for the S700/S710a available???
