what format is yoru charger, all pictures i see is a round jack with a plug, but the phone i got from verizon is like the 6000 the sqaure charger format, even the manual says the jack should be round, whats the deal

anybody else with the phone have the square charger rather than the displayed round charger, just curious if it was a verizon thing or a first release of the phone thing, any info would help

I have the square (rectangular) plug. The user's manual accessories section also shows the charger to be what I received.
When I first ordered the phone on Oct 12th (one day fluke), the accessory pictures where not displayed on the web site.

I got my phone, vehicle and travel charger (came with the phone)on the 18th, and it is square.

It is my understanding that Verizon is pushing manufacturers to have a common data/charging port. With the exception of Motorola of course. This way there will be no need to have different styles of chargers. One would fit all. If you look closely the vx 6000 and the Kyocera slider as well as a couple of Audiovox models used the same port. The pin configuration was different how ever the size and shape of the port was the same.
