It sounds like people are saying this phone uses the same data cable as the 7000. Has anyone tried it with BitPim?

I've tried BitPim using Other CDMA, VX-6000, and VX-7000 set and I couldn't get it to work. Of course I have never used BitPim before so maybe I'm not doing something right. (PC=XP)

The data cable that I'm using is from http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem &category=50328&item=5730794603. This isn't a charger/data cable...it's data only. According this guy, a charging usb cable is not UL approved and can mess up your phone. (see link) I'm new to this so I thought I'd play it safe and just get a data only cable.

Anyone else have any thoughts/suggestions on how to get this to work besides wait for a VX-6100 specific setting?

Thanks
