LG VX-6100

I know this is getting old but there is something weird happening. I took back and exchanged my phone (6100) because of volume spikes and dropped calls. Well this started happening after i did the #228. The difference is when the phone is new it does not have the banner even after they program it. Now they gave me a new phone and it has the banner and again i have phone spikes and dropped calls. So. What is happening? are they recirculating phones we return or well what do u think is going on.? The phone works better without the banner for some strange reason......agree/disagree
