Forcing All Digital Service: A Cure for the Analog Blues
Press [MENU] + [0]
Then Security Code: [0][0][0][0][0][0]
You are now in the "Field Test/Service Menu" where you can force the Preferred Mode... Just select "Force Mode" press [OK] select "CDMA" and press [OK] then [End}
If you don't like it you can always switch it back to the original default setting "Automatic" using this same procedure.
You can always adjust this setting prior to going into fringe or analog areas.
The solution to my problem with this 6100 was to get rid of the phone and get something that is not too sensitive to reception fluctuations like the v265. so far so good... i never had to figure out moto's service menu since i never had this problem. đ
"Automatic" after you shut it off after
making this change. It stays set until you
change it regardless of how many times you
power the phone on and off. I think you
forgot to push [OK[ after you made the
change the first time. Without this command
it isn't set as the preference and will
default to the last correctly set
preference after power off/up.
2. My reception has been great. Far better

3. I'm not a Moto guy. They haven't made a
decent phone since the StarTac. Don't feel
like being a beta tester for them.
4. Love the always-on OLED...
