Browser setup on VX-6100

I just recently upgraded from a T720 to a VX-6100. I want to setup the WAP to use my own WAP server but I can't figure out where to enter the IP address and the port number. On the T720 it was easy, I just went to browser setup. I checked the manual and it doesn't mention anything about setting up the browser on the VX-6100. Has Verizon eliminated this to force everyone to pay for their service? If anyone knows how to get to where I can enter the IP address on the VX-6100 can you please tell me? Thanks.

You have to go into the Service Menu:

Menu > 0 > Service Code 000000 > 9 WAP Settings

😡 let me know if you are able to change the port settings. Mine will not let me. It automatically changes back to default ☚ī¸

No, you can't change the port from 8080. That is the standard port for WAP 2.0. I think you should be able to change it, so I'd call that a bug. If you wanted to run your own WAP server from home, you should be able to put it on any port you want.

That sucks, but I don't think its a bug.. Verizon probably did that on purpose so that we can't reconfigure it for free WAP.. 😡
One way or another, they will get our money. 😈 Greedy bastards!!

You can still have free WAP if you can find a WAP 2.0 IP address that uses port 8080 or if you set up your own WAP server at home. I'm too chicken to try it, but other 6100 users have done it. You would have to configure your router to use port 8080 for WAP.
