LG VX-6100
Anyone had experience with the Moto V710?
I currently have the LG 6100, and have until Saturday to trade it in for something else. I used to have the 4400, so the interface is familiar. However, I believe my 4400 had better reception than the 6100. I would like to stick with a tri-mode phone, so my only other option would be the Motorola V710. Any opinions on whether the swap would be worth it?

Yes I have. I had 3 of them and had problems with all 3. Whenever I would program something to the scheduler, it would always go off at the wrong times. At first I thought it was user error but it wasn’t. The screen would lock up on me too and sometimes I would have to take the battery out of it in order to get it to shut off. I took the phone back to Verizon and they gave me another V710 and it did the same thing, so again I took it back and again did the same thing. This time I called and complained to the Verizon people and they let me get any phone I wanted. I got the LG VX6100 and love it. I wish I would have bought this phone from the beginning.

Yes, I have. What ever you do. Don't get the Motorola V710. I was the first one in my local area, with USCC service, to get one. I got it just before Christmas. I hate it, there are a lot of little things about the phone that are not good and I've heard that if you are with VZ the phone is even worse. My mother was thinking about getting a new phone and she asked me about the V710 and I told her the same thing. Get any phone except the V710. The sales rep. that I got mine from also got one, we had been waiting for 6 months for USCC to get them in and neither one of us are pleased with the phone. She is thinking about getting the new Nokia that is suppose to be coming out sometime soon. I on the other hand don't have that kind of money to sp...

I have the VX6100 and absolutely enjoy mine! I have USCC here in the midwest! The phone works great even though I've only had it since last Thursday afternoon. Haven't tried the camera yet, but know it's fine! It's an LG after all! 😉

had the 4400 for a year - good overall phone.
lost it tho...
so I got the Moto V710 as a replacement. Very good reception (better than the 4400). However,
the phone is huge and I've only got so much
pocket space.
so swapped the 710 for my current phone the LG6100.
I too love the user interface on the LG's. It's intuitive and easy to use. However,
I also agree on the reception.. it kind of
sucks (relative to the V710 and the 4400).
I have a lot more dropped calls or calls that
never go out now. Fringe areas it's nearly
useless.
So i'm looking for another replacement...
if size isn't an issue, the v710 is a good
