deleting ring tones from lg 6100
I finally made a decision and purchased a new phone. I want to clear my old 6100 so that someone else can use it. How do I clear the ringtones that I had previously downloaded? Please advise. I need to give this person the phone tomorrow!

6100 as modem
pretty cool to be able to do that. thing that stinks is that it is freaking slow. how fast should I be connected? it says that i'm connected 230Kbps (yeah right) but i did a check online and it says 18.8 actual. That's about what i expected, just wondered what others have seen....
Outlook Calendar
I've seen it asked before and I haven't found a straight answer yet. I'm using BitPim 8.something and I just can't transfer the calendar to the phone. I can import to BitPim from outlook just fine, but that's it.
USB Cable Driver needed.
I have the USB Cable from accessorygeeks.com and I cannot find the CD anywhere. does anyone know where i can download the drivers?

Just got the new firmware
I'm happy to report that the long-awaited firmware update is available and I got it yesterday at the VZW store in Jersey City, NJ. The process, as has been reported in other threads, took about 45 minutes and seems to have eradicated the "volume bug" problem.
I was a fan of the phone in spite of the volume bug and now that it's gone, I'm an even bigger fan.

VX6100 w/ Dialup ISP
Hi All,
I am trying to access my dial up ISP with the VX6100.
I sucessfully use BitPim for communicating with my phone via a USB cable using a modem driver.
I can select this 'modem' when trying to us a dial up connection. It communicates with the phone fine. The phone pops up a message "Data Services Currently Unavailable". That's as far as I can get. If I can get passed this I think it will work.
Any one have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
The Hinge

Echo/Feedback
I have experienced a echo at when at times
with the LG6100. I have had the software
upgraded at Verizon (Flash). The rep at
Verizon told me that other Verizon users
have also complained of this echo. They
were not on the LG6100.
If it not the phone... what else can cause
this. I called Verizon (611).. and was told.
They will look into it.
Can this be a service problem with the
local cell towers?
I live in NYC...

Vibe & High Banner
I've had my 6100 for a few months and really enjoy it. I keep the ring volume on vibe & high due to my work. Does anyone know of a way to move the "vibe & high" banner to the bottom or top of the screen? I like to have family photos as my wallpaper, but the banner obstructs the pic. Please help!

Creating ringtones from MP3
I'm a fairly tech savvy guy when it comes to computers and music. I just can't seem to get a good sounding ringtone when I create them myself. They sound great great on the computer, but once email to my 6100, they sound horrible. I've lowered the bit rates, normalized, used compression, but nothing seems to make the sound ANY better. Does anyone have any suggestion?
Thanks,
sabbathack

Firmware updates?
I believe this has been covered briefly before, but I just wanted clarification. I have one of the volume-bugged 6100s -- in order to reverse this I have to go into a Verizon store and have them install the firmware update (when it's available), or is this something I can get through updates on the phone? Thanks 🙂

Trouble Using Headset
Someone gave me a headset yesterday. I had never used one before. When I got home, I plugged it in and called a friend and left a Voice Mail message. I hung up and closed the flip. As it was late, I unplugged the headset and went to bed. The next morning, the phone rang, but when I answered it, I couldn't hear anyone on the other end. I pressed the Up Volume button on the side, but the screen indicated that an ear plug was installed (even though it wasn't). I assume that when the phone senses an ear plug, it doesn't send any sound to the earpiece on the phone. I then tried to find some way to turn off the ear plug function through the phone's menus. No go. I then plugged in the headset and made a call. While I was on this call, I unplugged t...

VX 6100 in NYC area
Hi 6100 users,
I have few questions for you guys. I will really appreciate your suggestion and answers.
I just switched from MOTO E815 to 6100. The MoTO drained the battery like crazy. The standby time is less than a day; it died couple times while importants calls were needed.
Anyway, I have my 6100 upgraded to the latest version; however, I can still somtimes hear some static while talking to people and I found the conversation is kinda lagging.
Does that have to do with the force mode?
which force mode is better for 6100 in NYC area?
I also noticed that there is a force call option (option 4) what's that? Does that do anything to the reception?
Thanks so much for your inputs.
