Hey i was just wondering what features are lost when you activate a phone on a different network and are there ways around these losses?
...
In most cases if you would take a phone that does BREW (Verizon) to a provider that does JAVA "J2ME" (Sprint). You would not be able to download things like ringtones or wallpapers. It same vice versa.
This phone supports both BREW and JAVA "J2ME" so you don't have to worry about sending this phone any CDMA provider (as long as they will allow you to take your phone to another provider).
The only problem is smaller providers networks might not support downloading things to your phone, or mobile web, most support today text messaging.

Ok well I was planning on transfering this from Cell. South or something to Verizon and was wondering if everything would work text messaging pic messaging and application downloads.
...
So no way to make text and pic messaging or GIN to work with another network.
...
not really. Especially since this phone may be capable of both BREW and JAVAm, but that is carrier-dependent. So if Sprint had this phone it would use JAVA and not BREW, with Verizon it would be vice-versa
