Nokia 6255i / 6256i

No new info from me just wondering if anyone has any good news for us good folk at evil Verizon? I did however hear from a few sources one on this board and one on HoFo that Verizon will get it. Any idea when? Also if you guys can take a look at the streaming media thread i started i still haven't really gotten an answer to my question.

I called Cellular South today and I was informed by a telesales representative that the phone will be out on April 22.

He also gave me the following prices for the phone:

Time is winding down, we have a little over two weeks to wait.

Alright ladies and gents, we have about 3 weeks 'til the 6255i comes out. We've already exhausted all topics of discussion on this matter. So..... I propose we all vote for our favorite movie of all time !!

Can someone please tell me what evdo is. and what is the difference between having evdo or streaming media is it just the speed? this phone has streaming media and no evdo apparently so what is the disadvantage of this.

Guys!!! You all hysterical. First for all you people in Nebraska and Wyoming good luck with the phone, maybe you should consider moving. lol. Two the phone is crap, I saw it and I would like to tell you few things. It doesn't have EVDO, no mega pixel camera, the phone feels like a Korean made phone. It makes noises when you squeeze it a little bad. If the phone came out like summer 04 I would give it 4 stars but if it comes out today I would give it one star, for bluetooth. That is it. Moto E815 is going to come out this summer with Mega pixel camera and full spec Bluetooth 1.2. Verizon is going to have it this summer on the EVDO network. Advice for all you with Cellular one or whatever it is. MOVE!!!

😲 Spoke to CS store in Jackson today. Said release date is now April 22, 2005. "No idea" how much cost would be.

A carrier out of MN, and a carrier out of WI will both be carrying this phone. I won't give names, but if you are in those areas, you know who they are.

She said 10 days, they're due in the stores on April 1st, to go on sale the following day. I hope she is correct.

Hey Peaches. You seem VERY impressed with the 6255i. It is the phone I'm waiting for - cuz - you know - it has very FEW side-buttons :-) Your critique seemed almost breathless. Is April 1st a realistic date????

Hey guys, first off thanks for all the info you keep posting here. My 3589 is getting worn out and I am spending each day hoping for this phone to be released by Verizon. I found this thread in another forum today. Thought i'd pass it along for any of those who are interested.

I was just reading the manual and noticed that the "voice/shutter key" is located on the upper right-hand part of the FLIP. This is great. It flips out of the way while on a call. The only button on the main body while talking is the volume key. Thank you Nokia. It's about time someone got it right :-) Also, I noticed that one can press the voice/shutter key while the flip is closed and it will automatically make a speaker-phoned voice call !! Also, the "alarm" will work even if the phone is turned off !! Lots good features here that people regularly talk about on Phone Scoop. 😁 😁 😁 😁

I am switching carriers and they have free 6225 for new contract.
Should I wait for the 6255i?
I dont care about camera, video, email, brew etc.
All I care about is reception. I noticed the 6255i has an external antenna and the 6225 has an internal one.

Any guesses as to when USCC starts selling this puppy ?

i have a loner phone right now because when i went to get a new one, i did not like anything they had.
does anyone have any idea of how much this phone is going to cost?

also when is it supposed to release?
