Using Speakerphone when Phone is Closed
I just got this and the lady told me at verizon i can use this with the phone closed.
But i cant see how i can, ive tried and it always hangs up on the person.
I dont have any PTT Contacts yet, but she said it shouldnt matter, cause i can still use people from my regular contacts and talk to them with the phone closed.
Can someone help me out and let me know if she told me the truth.
Also if she lied to me is it worth my money to take it back and get the lg6100 or not

Yes you are able to use the speakerphone while on a PTT or Regular call w/the flip closed. When you are on a PTT call you don't need to do anything, but close the flip. On the otherhand, while on a regular call you have to press the speaker button (located on the right side of the phone near the antenna)first before closing the flip.

One more thing, sorry can i answer the phone with the flip closed or do i have to open and answer it and then shut it again, just curious

For a regular call you have to open it, make sure speakerphone is on, and then close it. For a PTT call you can answer it w/the flip closed.

You can answer an incoming call with the flip closed.
When the phone rings push and hold the speakerphone button until the speaker comes on, when your through with the call push the speaker button again.
Try IT, use your home phone, call your cell and try it, that way you dont take a chance on hanging up on someone.
I tried it with mine and it works, AX4750 on Alltel

Well Firereddak thanks for the tip on taking a regular call by pressing and holding the speaker button. It work great, but I am not able to end the call by pressing the speaker button again. 😎
It is not a concern on that end cuz once the call is over it ends it as well. The end option might not be available on the vx4700.
